**** SO, Give me what school's you think i would be good with as Safeties, Matches, and Reaches. Im EXTREMELY interested in Georgetown and Cornell, even though i know those would never happen and are laughable at even thinking about. Im also really interested in UVa, UNC-CH, USC, UF and UConn but i know even those are laughable. *****

There is nothing laughable about Georgetown or Cornell for you. Just practice for those SATs a bit.

If you are interested in FBI, think about eventual Law School. U Maryland College Park has the best Criminology program in the country and a good sociology department. UMD CP sounds right for you.

Maybe Johns Hopkins.

I spoke with someone who works for the government, and they said because i don’t want to be a special agent etc… law school is unneccasary.

UMD CP does NOT appeal to me in the leasts, I’m there ALL the time and too many people I know go there. I don’t care how big or many people it has, I want to get away even if it’s only a little UMDCP will be my utterly last choice.

I’m at Cornell, and your stats are not laughable. My roommate’s stats are quite laughable by CC standards but he got in just fine. You have an interesting background, and you’re an URM so that helps a lot. If you rock that essay I’d give you a good chance. Although I hope you know there’s no addiction counseling major (or any counseling major, for that matter) in Cornell.

And 14 years competitive cheerleading? They have 4 year old competitive cheeleaders now? Jesus christ.

Thanks ahah i’ve been told numerous times with a 3.7 gpa, and no classes 2nd semester to bring it up i will most likely not get into my total school of choice. I’m pretty sure at no school there is an addiction counseling major, lol it’s a certificate i believe you obtain by taking classes * at least at the local CC that’s how it works*

If there’s room to add on my transcript i can speak a few languages fluently, i don’t know if i should add that or not.

Yeahh, it’s more for fun and giggles when your that young but when i was little i was avid in ALOT of sports and cheerleading, gymnastics and ice skating just stuck with me.

OH i meant to say, i HOPE i rock the essay my writing is really not that good, at all

Then better get started on the essay. That’s where you’ll need to convince the adcoms you deserve to get in. The 3.7 will bite, but hey, it’s not the end of the world. I had some good stats but no extracurriculars to speak of, and I still got in.

If you’re fluent in a couple more languages, add them. It wouldn’t hurt. Few applicants can claim proficiency in so many languages.

And it sounds like you might be interested in Developmental Sociology in CALS or Human Development in College of Human Ecology. And to be honest, getting into those programs seem easier than getting into the college of arts and sciences (Where sociology is).

I actually want to get into Psychology, i’m taking a psychology this summer and i love it. I’ll just take my 3.7 to a school that doesn’t make me feel like a super ■■■■■■ for having it =/ ahha

Yep, my fluency is English, Italian, Modern greek and ASL.
