Chance a Robotics Kid

Hello, and thank you for looking at my thread!

I posted this because I would like to know my chances for getting into UC Berkeley, and I would especially like to know how much influence my Robotics extracurricular would carry.

Female
Asian (Japanese-Bengali mix ^_^)

As I am still a sophomore, I apologize in advance that the following list is incomplete:

FRESHMAN YEAR
Japanese I- A
Geometry Honors- A
P.E./Health- A
Intro Tech- A
Japanese II- A
Algebra II/Trig Honors- A
English 9 Honors- A
Biology- A

SOPHOMORE YEAR
AP World History- A
ROP Welding/Metal Fabrication- A
Chemistry- A
Japanese III- A
English 10 H- currently an A
AP Chemistry- currently an A
Pre Calculus Honors- currently an A
Japanese IV- currently an A

JUNIOR YEAR (these are the classes I signed up for)
Japanese V Honors
AP Calculus AB
AP Physics B
AP English 11
AP Japanese VI
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
AP US History

SAT: Haven't taken it for real yet, but practice ones have been right around 2100. I'm doing a hardcore SAT boot camp deal this summer, so I believe I can get around 2200...?
ACT: Not taken yet, but PLAN was 32... >.< I'm going to study harder for ACT though.
AP tests: None taken yet, but I'm pretty good at studying and I think I can do well...

EXTRACURRICULARS
Robotics- That's the big one. It's with the FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization. I understand that it is... kind of a big deal... And at our school, we do this coolio registration thing where we can get ten credits for plugging in a certain number of hours, which I have accomplished ^_^

Underwater Robotics- I am such a nerd. This one is with the MATE organization.

Member of Math Club

Member of Japanese National Honors Society

PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER of Space Exploration Club

Member of Kids4kids

Member of Computer Hardware and Electronics Study Society

Volunteer work: If all goes well, right around 200-300 hours.

****I believe it is significant to state that in Robotics, I am our team's FIRST FEMALE MACHINIST. I am quite often the only girl in the metal shop. However, I also currently have a "freshman army' consisting of freshman girls, who I train in hopes that they will next year have female freshman armies of their own. Having more girls pursue engineering is a goal of mine, and I hope that my example will encourage more girls to enter the shop. (<--- will be worked into an essay somehow ^_^)

OUTSIDE CLASSES
We're only allowed 30 credits outside of school. I would like to achieve 30 credits through the local community college. I'm thinking of taking programming, statistics (getting rid of it), and in senior year, calculus, as I would have worked through all available math classes in my high school.

I am mostly interested in UC Berkeley, but my next choices would be UCLA or UCSD. I would like to major in physics and become and engineer.

Thank you again.

BUMP >.<

Hey guys, what do you say?

u need a chance ?? :O

Yes, from what I have heard, it is quite difficult to get into Berkeley, even with good grades etc.

I will write my response in Japanese (I am also learning Japanese):

そうね。。。

Here is your corresponding anime character  [Winry Rockbell](Winry Rockbell - Wikipedia)

If you’re in-state, I’m sure you’ll get in. You look like a very qualified applicant! Even out-of-state you’d have a good shot.

By the way, don’t be disappointed about your PLAN score. IIRC, PLAN is out of 32, which means that was a perfect score.

Oh, whoops. That was my projected ACT score from the PLAN. Either way, I’m going to study harder.

I am in-state. Thank you very much!

@bokuwa- Thank you, but considering that I am planning to do post-grad study, I’d rather not go to community college because I could go, for example, UCSD/notBerkeley-> [cool postgrad university] -> Job that doesn’t care about much besides the postgrad. So, I think I would rather go to UCSD or some UC that is within my reach than go to community college just to get into Berkeley. If I don’t get into Berkeley, anyway. [Not saying that I will but you get the point]

You can take Calculus AB concurrently with Calculus BC at your school? You do know that you’re not allowed to take both exams in a single year, right? And Japanese V with AP Japanese?

My school is on a different schedule. Trust me, this works.
