Chance a Strange Mulatto to UVA, W&M, WLU, and Beyond

<p>Hi, I'm posting this on behalf of my friend:
Chances for UVA, William & Mary, Washington and Lee. Honestly I know I have a snowball's chance in hell trying to get into an ivy, but assuming that I get a very high SAT score, would I have any chance at say Cornell or Colombia?</p>

<p>Academics
-GPA- 4.201 W, 3.46 UW
-I haven't taken my SAT yet, but I expect to have at least a 2150 on my SATs by october, and a 2300 by december (im going to study my ass off).
-I got a 197 on my PSAT and I know can do much better than that, especially if I go ham on the practice tests.
-AP scores : 4s in European History, Art History, Psychology, Chemistry, Human Geography, and Physics, 5s in Calculus AB and United States History</p>

<p>ECs/Awards/Achievements
-National finalist in the 2012 chemistry olympiad
-National ap scholar
-President of national honor society
-President of rocket club
-Over 170 hours of community service at sentara NGH since 2011
-Participant in Norfolk Emerging Leader's Program
-My church's youth coordinator is going to hook me up with a bomb ass letter of --recommendation and shes going to let me run the youth group in 2 years.
-I can get a good letter of recommendation from my history teacher who's a W&M alum
-co-captain of the varsity scholastic bowl team</p>

<p>Other Stuff
-Income- about 60000 a year
-Ethnicity- Mulatto
-Employment at McDonald's and as a city recreation aide</p>

<p>I would say that UVA and W&M are probably safeties for you, I’d try shooting for Princeton or Harvard as your targets. Good luck!</p>

Haft and I’m an admissions officer at Dartmouth and I think you’re doing a fantastic job based on your academic and extracurricular record, but I don’t think your resume is as competitive as the typical Ivy league bound applicant. As for UVA and William and Mary, I can’t really give you my input on your chances of being accepted into those specific schools because every school is different - it’s not just a saying!</p>
