Chance a stressed-out homeschooler?

I am a junior in high school. Over the past three years I have toggled from classes via CTD @ Northwestern's Gifted Learning Links program, to classes at various homeschool co-ops in my area, to still other classes at the local community college. The classes that I've indicated as "at home" on my course list below were supervised by my parents, who can provide syllabi/records of my work for my applications as needed.

PSAT: 209 (significantly lower than I'd been expecting, which is my own fault for not seriously studying)
SAT II: Literature - 800

I will be taking the SAT next week, and the SAT II in US History, as well as the ACT, later this spring. I've taken both major tests in past years and scored fairly well for my age at the time (ACT 30 in ninth grade, SAT CR-750, WR-750, MATH-500 in eighth grade), so my scores should not be a significant problem.

COURSELOAD

Summer pre-ninth grade:
World History Honors (CTD six-week intensive - A)

Ninth grade:
Algebra I (at home) - A
Biology Honors (CTD) - A
Latin I Honors (CTD) - A
AP European History (CTD) - A
American Literature (co-op - A

Tenth grade:
Geometry (at home) - A
Chemistry Honors (CTD) - B
Latin II Honors (CTD) - A
Economics Honors (CTD) - A
British Literature (co-op) - A

Eleventh grade (thus far):
Algebra II/Trig - A
Physics Honors + Lab (co-op) - A
Spanish I (co-op) - A
AP US History (virtual high school, not CTD) - A
Literature of the Non-Western World (community college) - A
Shakespeare Honors (community college online) - A
Creative Writing 101 (co-op) - audit

I plan on enrolling in at least one for-credit course at the community college over the summer.

ECs

National Honor Society - two continuous years of community service. I am currently Treasurer.
Piano - lessons since third grade. I have won several ribbons/medals at the Solo & Ensemble competition that I participated in for two years - 8th and 10th grades. I am self-teaching at the moment because of the financial/time commitment that hiring a teacher requires.
Local drama group - two continuous years, fairly large roles in productions.
Forensics/public speaking team - three continuous years of performance/competitions.
Various assistant teaching positions at my co-op(s) - elementary music class, elementary Spanish class, elementary cooking class.
Writing - this is my passion and the way that I spend most of my (very little) free time, although I realize that this will be difficult to document without any contest awards/publications in my name.

I should be able to provide strong recommendations from my co-op teachers, as well as from either my drama or forensics coaches.

What are my chances at UMich (in-state), Kalamazoo, Northwestern, and Carleton? Kenyon is my dream school, but I realize that is most likely a significant reach, as are the others on my list.

You have a pretty good chance of getting in at UofM, and definitely KCollege. I don’t know about Northwestern, Carleton or Kenyon, though (as in, I don’t know much about those colleges.)

Let us know your SAT score.

Thanks so much for the input, jujubiejenny! I will write an updated post when I get my score.

Anyone else? :)

Bump! I would really appreciate a bit more feedback.

(Bumping this thread up instead of creating a new thread–I hope that’s okay.)

I now have my March SAT scores: CR 800, WRI 800 (essay - 12), MATH 610. I realize that the math is weak–would this significantly detract from my chances at any of the schools on my list? I am now also seriously interested in Grinnell.

Your scores are great generally, but colleges frown on those kinds of discrepancies between subject areas. Are you planning to retake in May or June? If you did I think you’d have a great chance at all the schools on your list.

I’m planning on retaking this fall, partially because I’d like to have time to study over the summer and partially because I don’t want to pay late fees. I hope that won’t be too late! Thanks so much for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

Your grades are obviously REALLY good. However, I have no clue how UCs view homeschooling. I’d say you still have a pretty good chance at the school you want to go to.

Thank you! Does anyone else have any knowledge of how the admissions officers at the schools I’m interested in, particularly UMich, view both homeschoolers and my SAT range? I’m doing my own research, of course, but I’d like to know what others think. :)
