Chance a top 5 hopeful, por favor :)

Chances for: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, NYU

School: Brown University
Ethnicity: Mexican
GPA:3.95
LSAT: 173
ECs: Job at admissions office, heavily involved in a cappella group, a few plays and musicals, various roles in Brown's undergrad Political Science dept
Internships: internship with local law firm summer after sophomore year. (Will my lack of impressive internships/jobs hurt my chances?)

thanks! :)

Yale and Stanford are always black boxes, but you stand as good a chance as anyone else. If that’s a real 173, then you’re in at the other three. Maybe some cash from Columbia and NYU.

Law school predictor has you in everywhere. I’d say you’re a lock everywhere except Yale, and even there you have a very, very good chance.

Even one summer internship at a law firm is probably a lot more than the vast majority of admits at those schools do. You’ll be fine. :)

All except Yale is safety/match for you. Yale is a reach for anyone. I would guess that you would be in at Yale as well considering you are URM.

All except Yale and Stanford.

I think Stanford is a match for the OP even though it’s still somewhat of a black box. With being URM and 3.95/173, I would guess that you could be relaxing in Palo Alto next year if you really want to.

Nope. In my experience, Stanford is just as much of a black box as Yale.

I’d say you stand a strong chance at all of your dream schools, even the black boxes cause of URM status and decent softs.
