<p>I'm a transfer student, so my app isn't due until April 1st.</p>

* GPA: 3.3 (Took several Honors Classes)
* Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 134/416
* Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): Honor Roll (11th, 12th grade), Student of the Month (November).
* Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Photography Club (Co-President), InnerKey club (Member)
* Volunteer/Community service: Over 75+ hours working at Food Bank and Creekside Clean-Up</p>

<p>CC Objective
* GPA: 3.65
* Units Completed: 62
* Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Oak Leaf Newspaper (Staff Writer)
* Major Awards: Dean's List (2 years), Honor Society, Scholarship Recipient for grades
* Work experience: Hyatt Hotel (20 hours per week/1 year), Starbucks (20 hours per week/June 09-Present)</p>

* Essays: I think it's a strong essay. Discusses how i'm not sure what i want to be when i grow up, but thats ok. Discusses how i grew up and where i want to go.
* Teacher Recommendation: Great, from Speech Teacher, he helped me out a lot.</p>

<p>I know my grades and scores arn't the greatest...but...i stil want to try....</p>

<p>I also transferred to Steinhardt and you look more competitive than I was, and I got in to MCC. MCC is mainly about fit and as long as your essays convey that you have a genuine interest in media, you’re set. Steinhardt is very transfer friendly and the advisors are super-welcoming to transfer students. Good luck!</p>

<p>I’m in the same boat as you. i’m applying to gallatin. Since I’m not in the office of admissIons, I can’t really give you false hope. You have good ecs and you’ll never know unless you apply. Good luck! I hope we both make it.</p>
