im looking to transfer into CAS as an english major from carnegie mellon...any input?

HS GPA: 3.8 unweighted (my HS didn't rank)

AP scores: 5 us gov, 5 french, 4 us history, 4 art history, 5 comparative govt, 4 literature, 2 bio

SAT scores: 640 math, 760 reading, 730 writing

SAT II: 780 french, 740 literature, 720 us history, 600 math I (I had to take math I for CMU)

Current college GPA: 4.0 (I only took 4 courses though, which is pretty common for freshmen I think...but none were in math/science, and im not taking math or science courses next semester, either)

ECs:
-4 years of involvement with a theater society, either acting or costuming
-volunteer work at a hospital
-15 years of piano
-writer for my school newspaper (HS)
-various french awards...I was the grand prize essay winner for my city sophomore year
-writing tutor at my school's writing center (HS)
-one of 4 students selected to take courses at a local university for HS credit
-creative writing award (senior year of HS)

i know this looks like i have a shot, but i'm really worried about my INCREDIBLY weak math scores/grades. my final grade for precalc (not honors) senior year was only a B-, and as you can see, my sat scores were definitely the weakest part of my application. finally, i'm not taking any math classes at college because it interfered with the classes I really want to take. does this ruin my chances?

thanks for your help!
