Chance a Transfer Student for Admission to Penn State and Schreyer?

Hello, everyone! I am a Penn State hopeful currently attending Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA. If you would be so kind as to chance me for one of my top-choice transfer schools (the other being University of Maryland), I would really appreciate it!

With these stats, will I have a chance at admission into Penn State-University Park and even Schreyer Honors College? Also, is it true that Schreyer students get more merit and financial aid?

No go on the SHC (they don’t accept “transfers”). Gateway is in the junior year in ECoS and no scholarship is given for gateway applicants.
You could receive a diversity scholarship from ECoS or a Bunton-waller from the university. Visit the ECoS website and find a contact person and email them the same questions. They can provide answers to your questions about scholarship opportunities. Be sure to mention the SMaRT scholar/NSF info. They can set up a visit too. Explore the site. they have information for future students and diversity initiatives

for chance purposes, SAT and HS GPA would help.

@luvthej That’s a disappointment. I was really hoping that Schreyer would let transfer applicants in; nevertheless, this won’t deter me from applying this upcoming fall. Also, my HS GPA was a 3.8 and my highest SAT score was a 1540 (M: 420, CR: 620, W: 500), but a 1570 when superscored (M: 440, CR: 620, W: 510). Will they actually look at my high school stats? I thought that this information isn’t required when applying for transfer admission as a junior.

Thought you might be a freshman. They should evaluate you based on your cc stats
