I’ve made one of these before, but I’ve added a few achievements and I’d like to get a new opinion on my chances.

I attend a small community college in rural Alabama that has never sent a student to an Ivy League university. I’ve heard that could either help or hurt me. I’m currently a history major with plans to focus on art history and french if I’m lucky enough to get into Brown. My current GPA is 3.9.

Some of my ECs:
-Gay-Straight Alliance co-founder and President
-College Democrats’ co-founder and Publicity Chair
-Presidential Scholar
-Member of President’s Council
-College Ambassador
-Phi Theta Kappa Member
-Volunteered hundreds of hours with the theater department
-I have also kept a part time job since my sophomore year of high school

In high school I also had a GPA of 3.9. Unweighted GPA was reported as 101.7%.
Rank: 2/86

High school ECs:
-Class President (10, 11, 12)
-Student Council (10, 11, 12)
-Beta Club President (12)
-Tennis Team MVP (12)
-American Legion Boys’ State Representative
-National Endowment for the Arts community Ambassador

Standardized tests:
I made an unimpressive 26 on the ACT. The requirement for the scores was waived but I talked about my scores in an essay, and hopefully played them to my strengths (if that’s even possible). I never took the SAT.

Recommendations: Great. I had two from professors, and one from the president of my college who I do actually know well enough to ask for a recommendation letter.

Essays: I’ve been told they are strong.

Applying for aid?: No.

Am I completely delusional to think I have a shot at Brown? I’m positive that I’m the right fit for Brown and I just hope the admissions committee can see it too. I know that my ACT score is a potential deal breaker, but I feel that my ECs, essays, and recommendations overshadow the 26. Am I wrong to think so? Since Brown is my first choice, I am not applying for aid and am flexible with the term I can enter, which could slightly help, right? I just want to know if my chances are as good or better than the average applicant. I’m hoping for better, since only those applicants get in, but if I’m as good as most at least I’ll rest a little easier. So please let me know where you think I stand! Thank you!!
