Chance a Valedictorian?

you're a pretty strong applicant, however as people said the lieu of an extremely high score is affecting negatively your chances at the very top. However, I fully agree with ^^ and you definitely seem like you have the potential to score higher. Set your mind on it for a couple weeks and bust out a good score. I'm sure you'll find the right college for you. I'll say you're in at all except HYPS, but with a higher ACT/SAT, you should have a better shot. I hope this isnt just repeat of what others just said, and if it is, it shows what you truly need to work on.
Best of Luck!

and if you find the time, check out my chance thread?:

To give it bluntly, you need higher SAT scores for HYPS or even other top 15 schools.

Did you ever try the ACT?

sozo91....I received a 30 on my ACT!

In everywhere except HYS, you might want to find some good mid levels schools, it seems you have a few ivies and then it is a big drop from there

^^^ I've heard that comment several times...So can anyone suggest some matches for me? :) Thanks!

I agree that right now you have a few uber reaches (HYS), and too many safety schools. You should cut back on the safeties and add more lower reaches and match schools.

Which ones depends on what you're looking for in a school (location, size, vibe, FA/merit aid needs, etc.). For starters, look at the top 25 or so on the university and the LAC rankings and see how each school stacks up to what you're looking for. Or, tell us what appeals to you in a college and we can give you suggestions.

:) Will being a First Generation College student really help out in terms of admission?

-_- lol guys test scores doesn't mean everything, with everything else near perfect I think he could get in with a bit higher sat/act score but doesnt have to be 2200 or w/e. lol I wished I had even half your stats xD. Good luck.

ps. why not just apply to every ivy league and like 2 top tier schools? You'll definitely get into at least one of them lol

just wanted to return the favor, but i'm really not the best judge for this kind of thing.

like what everyone has said, SAT and ACT scores need to be higher to have a good shot at the ivies. but solid ECs. i wish i was as decorated. again, I'm no expert, but I imagine that having won an award with harvard would mean something. as with the fact that you're a first generation college student.

but I really wouldn't worry much. if you don't get into a good school, i'd be very surprised and would have no hope for myself x)

good luck with everything.

Hey thanks for good advices on my post!
i chance u back = D
I think your ECs are amazing, you must be so smart!
at the same time, i think your EC is a bit focused on only academic related stuffs don't you think? would have been better if you had done some different kinds of activities

but i don't think this will hurt your chances much

if you score well on SAT1 this October, i think u will be accepted in "at least" one college you want

wait, don't you have any SAT2 scores?!
