Math is definetly a breeze for me( i am in 2 math classes this year, Stat and PAP PreCal)
ABSOLUTELY LOVE HISTORY

Interned at BPA State (Austin, TX)

And I have done other small, inconsequential things such as donations.

Wish: I want to go to an Ivy or Caltech.

Question: Is such a wish to much of a stretch for me? What colleges can i expect to go to?

Oh guys, i want you to be brutally honest. I know that the ivys are crapshoots for even the beastly students of CC, but still, i would like a critique of myself.

No chance.

Anything i can improve on before College apps are due next year??? : (

bump of desperation : (

Without knowing your SAT/ACT scores it’s very hard to tell but if you can get more volunteer hours and a decently high ACT/SAT score for Ivy League schools like 32+/2200+ I’d say you have a pretty good chance of being accepted.

I’m actually confident i can pull of a high SAT score. The first time i took it i got a 2090. But i made the mistake of sleeping only a few hours before the test. And I used one extended example for my essay (Which is a terrible thing or so I’ve heard!) The CR was horrible as well(Indian programmer passage = YUCK)

And yes, I am definetly going to put more focus on volunteering (will try to go for leadership ones. My shyness is alomst debilitating. I want to improve on that!)

One more Q: Do school awards have any affect on College admissions.
(I got an Outstanding achievement award for World History last year)

The Ivy League is a sports conference; what other sports conferences are you interested in applying to?

ummmm, i don’t know wat you mean? Are you asking if i want to go to somw other school?

My other options would be rice and caltech

The Ivy League is an athletic conference. It’s like saying I want to go to an SEC or PAC 10 school. They’re all great schools, and are very different. They range from different strengths and emphases (sp?), to different social scenes to entirely different locations.

Oh I see.

Well, i really want to go to a school with a strong science/math background. And Caltech is perhaps the best one. But i just don’t know how if i have a chance of getting in such a college.

Bump

please critique
