Chance an international! :D (Ivys, Duke, Northwestern, Chicago)

About me:
Citizenship: Dual French/Syrian, living in Saudi Arabia. (And asking for financial aid)
I've only been in an american school since 11th grade. I used to be in a small french school before, hence the lack of APs and ECs.

Major: undecided science (comp sci/cogn sci/econ)

Stats:
GPA: ~4.5 Weighted.

Grades: Straight A's, except for a B first semester of AP Physics.
In my French school, class averages were out of 20. I always had the highest or next-to-highest average in most my classes (my transcript shows my grade, the highest grade in the class, and the average).

Rank: My high school doesn't rank. (but I'd be among the top 10%)

APs: Physics (5), MacroEcon (5), MicroEcon (4) (all in junior year).
Psych, Stats, Calc BC and Computer Science this year.

SAT: 2100 (770M, 640CR, 690W) (all from my second attempt)
SAT II: 760 Physics, 800 Maths

ECs:
President of Tech Club (12th grade, member since 11th)
Treasurer of Prom Committee (12th grade)
Guitar: performed at a bunch of talent shows, Pakistan/Haiti fundraisers, battle of the bands competition. (it's a hobby I'm very serious about, and is the main topic of my Common App essay)
Student Council (9th, 10th, 12th)
EFFECT Club (last 2 years)
Choir (only joined this year, but travelling abroad for a choir festival)

Recs should be pretty pretty good I think, and my essays are good and personal.

Colleges:

Cornell, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, UPenn, Duke, Northwestern, Chicago.

Thanks!

I don’t think any of the ivies are a good shot. Your extracurriculars don’t really focus in on a specific subject or anything, just scattered about. For Chicago, I think you have a good chance. As long as your essays are good, you definitely will have a great chance at UChicago.

wofbharatj: Chicago’s RD acceptance rate is 9%. For international students requiring financial aid, this is probably something like 1-2%. Moreover, the OP’s scores just BARELY break Chicago’s 25% mark (1400 CR+M), which means he almost certainly won’t be accepted. Please don’t comment on topics you know little about.

Soooo, my chances at Chicago are even less than at the Ivys? =/

Dang. Since when did Chicago go to 10% or less? That’s crazy…

And sorry, I didn’t know their acceptance RD rate was that low

RD 9%? I thought it was around 18%?
