Hooks/context: mixed race barbadian citizen (black/white hispanic) who moved to Houston from London before 11th grade (hence disjointed activities and low GPA). Currently go to a very competitive texan private school, but my grades in England were really good. URM- barbados has a population less than 200,00
Essays: good, and probably a strength. I talked a lot about being culturally confused (my mother is guyanese, my dad is jamaican, was born in barbados but have moved between London and Houston 3 times now.
Recommendations: I haven’t seen, but both from teachers who thought highly of me and said they’d write excellent letters
Please chance honestly, especially for USC- and I will chance back!
