bump

Your scores are great, but your GPA is on the low side and your EC’s are kind of one dimensional. I think you should be good for all of them besides Rice, Columbia, Berkeley, Cornell, and Stanford, which would be reaches.

How is Carnegie unlikely for her? She is 70 marks away from a perfect SAT score.

Your stats are incredible, but the fact that you’re an international student and you don’t have exceptional awards or extracurriculars may hurt.

You have the stats down but your E.C.s are a bit lacking. It would have helped if you got leadership positions in something math and science related. But who knows? You still have a decent shot at your universities.

Thanks for the comment!
UCB- high match ~ low reach (the only thing is that UC schools seem to consider GPA more important than test scores.)(For CS major, Berkeley is really competitive.)
UCLA- match
CARNEGIE MELLON- Low reach~ Reach (CMU is the best CS major school in the US you probably know…)
UMICH- Match (No reason to get rejected, but UMICH apparently defers some “super-duper” applicants.)
CORNELL- High match
UIUC- match~high match (UIUC has good CS curriculum too.)
RICE- high match~low reach
STANFORD (I might apply but not sure)- Reach for everyone
COLUMBIA- Reach
USC-High match
