Chance an OOS

Hi

I just submitted my application today for the priority deadline. I was wondering what my chances are!

I'm a white female from reputable public school in NYC

My weighted average is 87.9, unsure of unweighted, they don't tell us.

SATs

ACT
31 Composite

As for my classes..

I have 4+ years of social studies, 4 years of english, science, and math, 3 years of language (Italian)

A in a college psychology class

ECs
I've done cheerleading since my freshman year, and I've been captain since junior year
Senior Class Coordinator of SADD, joined junior year
By the end of the summer I should have around 100 community service hours from various places, including a trip to New Orleans
I interned with a judge last summer, and he wrote me an AMAZING rec letter
I just got a job working at the front desk of NYSC, and I've been babysitting for years

I've read all my recs (shhhh ;) ) and they were really good! I think my essays were really good also.

thanks

Your chances are very good.

oh my god. politicians give the BEST rec letters!

Really, ctyankee? I hope so! Thanks!

And haha yeah the letter was great. The judge was a friend of my dads so he really gassed it up! :P

The current incoming class had an average weighted GPA of 3.93 weighted.
So you’re below average grade wise, but everything else looks fine.

Yeah, my grades seem to be my weak point for most of the schools I’m applying to, but thanks!

Anyone else? bump

You have a low gpa, but for UMD it’s not going to matter. You’re in.

You think so? I hope! It seems like years since I’ve submitted the app already, I just want to find out!

(Got in, by the way  )

yay congrats!

i might as well hijack this thread. i’m out of state too, so it’s really not hijacking since the title still applies to me. but i digress…

i’m an out of state transfer student. 3.6 gpa, aerospace engineering major, member of phi theta kappa, 0 efc on fafsa, will have my AA. any thoughts?

thanks! best of luck b3n!
