Out of High School I was accepted to:
1. Uchicago
2. Johns Hopkins
3. WashU
4. Northwestern
5. State School Honors Program

What are my chances at:
1. Northwestern
2. UPenn
3. Georgetown
4. Cornell
5. Columbia
6. Stanford
7. Yale

Great chance at everything however, can’t be certain for stanford or yale. I know I’m just mirroring what other responses have been. I really wouldn’t worry too much about it because it seems that you are both an intelligent and motivated student. Regardless of what top university you attend, you will be successful following your under grad education.

thanks guys! I’m actually really leaning towards UPenn. I spent a summer there and absolutely loved it, yet was too afraid to apply to it out of high school. Also there is a mistake in my stats! I actually got a 640 in writing instead of 740l, how does that change things?

As a transfer, many schools do not even ask for your SAT II’s where others simply ask you to report them. I don’t think it will have much if any effect.

the emphasis on SATs is far lower when you apply as a transfer. While they may have been a make-or-break sort of fact when applying as a senior in high school, I’ve found that they aren’t the same as a transfer.

your grades are strong, which is great but one of the MOST important thing when applying as a transfer is strong, concrete and unique essays. you need to be able to pinpoint why you want to transfer, why you want to go to upenn (for example) from washu.

Hey, just out of curiosity, why are you wanting to transfer away from Wash U? Your reason for wanting to transfer will be a very important factor in whether you get accepted anywhere (at least at schools like Cornell, Yale, Stanford, and so forth).

Also, I’m wanting to transfer to Wash U, so I’m curious as to why you want to leave. :D
