Chance an Underachiever

I appear to be a rarity on this sort of site. Anyways, I think my stats are seemingly worse than they actually are; colleges, however, acknowledge that my school is fairly difficult, so take my stats with a small grain of salt. I am from MA.

UW: 2.8
W: 3.5

We don't have ranks.

Course load for this year:
AP Lit
AP Euro
H Neurobiology
Physics I
Independent Study in US Foreign Policy

I took the AP Psychology exam last year without having taken the course and received a 5.

ACT: 34 composite - 35, 33, 33, 33
I sat the ACTs once, didn't sit the SATs at all.

ECs - Chair of Anti-War organization, musician (choral and guitar), extemporaneous speaker in forensics, worked 3 jobs - one at a large sailing center, actor, Ultimate Frisbee, Mock Trial, Senator, editor for 4 years on the school paper

Another advantage of my school is that we have a very strong guidance department. My essay is unique - I am 100% sure of this due to its subject matter - and apparently well written.

I think my recommendations are very solid. One of my teachers went out of his way to tell me that "it wasn't hard at all to write a standout recommendation" for me.

Prospective Major (if it ends up not being Hampshire/NCF): Neuroscience/English dbl

Chance me for:
New College FL
Hampshire College
Bard College
Oberlin College
Pitzer College
Eugene Lang College
Rhodes College

Oh, and I have won several awards for student journalism.

ECs are a bit weak, but i’d say all of those are w/in reach

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/816397-chance-me-i-really-hope-you-dont-know-me.html</a></p>

You should in all of them but I would take says.

SATs sorry

Your gpa is a bit low but you have a great ACT score.
Considering your respective major.

New College FL- match (gpa a bit low for this school)
Hampshire College- match/safety
Bard College- low reach
Oberlin College- match
Pitzer College- match
Eugene Lang College- match/safety
Rhodes College- match

New College FL- match
Hampshire College- match
Bard College- reach
Oberlin College- match
Pitzer College- match
Eugene Lang College- match
Rhodes College- match

34 ACT is awesome man. GPA a bit weak, but its balanced.

In at all I would say, but I haven’t heard of some of the colleges, sorry.
Good Luck!

bump it up.

Oberlin I know will be a bit of a reach. I think you’re into Hampshire. Don’t know about the rest, though.

Bard and Oberlin are low reaches. In at eugene lang pitzer hampshire http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/815067-chances.html</a></p>

Grades for this term:
AP Lit - B
AP Euro - B+
H Neurobiology - A-
Physics I - B+

The ACT and EC’s get you into all of these schools, Essays/Recs look awesome, but the GPA kills you (yet, if it’s the school that’s responsible, then that might cut you some slack): Here are my chances:

New College FL: No clue, sry :frowning:
Hampshire College: In
Bard College: In
Oberlin College: Low-Reasonable Reach
Pitzer College: (the one in Cali, right?) Reasonable Reach
Eugene Lang College: In
Rhodes College: In

Hope this helps!! Plz Chance me!! (on the 2.0 thread)
