Activities:
Captain of the Varsity Debate Team at my School

I didn’t really academically mature until this year… How impactful will it be if I can send in a 4.0 for first semester senior year?

CMU is very strong on test scores and GPA. Your subject tests should be really good to increase your chances of admissions at the university. Its good that your AP exam scores are strong, and your leadership activities also make you a better applicant. Make sure to get good recommendations and write strong essays. I would say that Carnegie is a low reach for you.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot man. Fingers crossed haha

Just got back from visiting my son at CMU. Meeting his friends, it seems the common theme for CMU students is that they all have a passion for their subject(s) of interest. What is your passion? Why do you want to be a humanities major? Whatever it is, make sure it comes across in your application.
