<p>hey.. can someone tell me what my chances are at columbia and upenn?</p>

reading: 800</p>

<p>ECs:
Inter-Cultural Unity Club -- 9-12, held various positions
Newspaper -- 9-12, editor in chief

Music National Honor Society-- 9-12
Varisty Track-- 9-12
Tutoring</p>

<p>Summer: Research at a Lab</p>

<p>Awards:
Siemens National Semi-Finalist
Young Epidemiology Scholars National Semi Finalist
Math Fair awards
NHS
will be AP Scholar
will prob be a national merit semi finalist
some spanish and music honors</p>

<p>not much volunteer work..</p>

<p>will be taking a bunch more senior year</p>

<p>ur testing scores are strong.. i think u will be in the running.. however.. i look at ur ECs.. and they dont look like u REALLY have a passion for something.. maybe im wrong.. and ur really passionate about something.. but if i cant see it, i dotn think adcoms will either.. :]. Other than that.. i think u have a solid chance of hitting columbia and upenn. :]</p>

<p>i disagree wih zehpanda. being a semifinalist in YES and Siemens before senior year shows a strong passion and dedication to research. If you bring that out, you can beat a large portion of the app pool in EC's. Your academics are solid and your SAT is higher than both school's averages. As long as you present yourself properly, and don't mess up the essays, upenn and columbia are low reaches for you (i'm assuming youre applying SEAS and not wharton). p.s. could you do me? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=381937%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=381937&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>I'm no expert but I think you'll be just as qualified as most other applicants. You have a chance but there are no guarantees. =&lt;/p>
