(btw, columbia does accept IELTS as a substitute of TOEFL for international applicant)
am i gonna get full scholarship or grant?
what r my chances?

i think your chances are really good. Play up all your journalism awards- that's semi-unique,
and of course, highlight your heritage, colleges love diversity ;)

Columbia doesn't award merit scholarships. Whether you get financial aid depends on your family situation, not your grades or other accomplishments. So we can't answer the question of whether you will get a full "scholarship."

As for admission, I try to avoid commenting on that. Columbia is a reach school for everyone. Be sure you have back-up alternatives. Best wishes!

thx
which major of Columbia Uwould u recommend ?
I am quite interested in Finance,Economics,Psychology, and some other majors relating to Literal Art and Science would also fine to me,like international relation,Journalism

Not sure how anyone can possibly say this without even seeing an SAT score.

i just got my sat score today
what about them?
cr 580
math 710(what a shame to get this score as a chinese kid)
writing 730 essay 12
so could u tell me my chance

Your CR score is definitely going to hurt you.

"Travel:Tibet
Thailand,Malaysia and Singapore by myself"

I don't think this qualifies as an extracurricular unless you were there doing some sort of missionary work. Overall, you seem fine, but that critical reading score is subpar. You should take the TOEFL.

MTGoddess is wrong about the diversity thing. huashi8846 is Chinese. There is no shortage of Chinese students at any prestigious university. They are not underrepresented minorities.
