Swimming Camp: ….I swam a lot

Triathlons: I independently train and compete in triathlons after seeing Ironman on TV - I love them! Triathlons may be a topic of an essay for me.

Your numbers look outstanding but more than that I like your passion. Stanford loves to see someone who has confronted an obstacle and made a major difference. This is evident in your work with charity and fund raising for your brother’s disability. Take that as far as you can. I also like your independent training for triathlon. That shows discipline and long term goal setting. Even your star wars cards EC is unique. Continue with the excellent academics and the passion in your ECs. You are someone who will make a difference!

“Chance at the most beautiful university in the world?”

I think you have posted this in the wrong forum. You would probably get more responses if you posted this in the Yale forum.

You’ve got a great shot at WUSTL. Not sure why you posted it here though… Haha

I’d be extremely surprised if Scripps rejected you.

Actually, I wouldn’t. You’re male.

Ok, ok… I`ll settle for “one” of the most beautiful universities in the world. But can we focus on my original question please??? =)

Your stats look really amazing! I’m willing to bet you will get accepted without a problem. Keep up the good work and good luck!

Stats are above average- your SAT is fairly low for an unhooked white applicant, but your SAT II’s make up for them. And your AP scores are great. Love your extracurricular activities…They are unique enough to distinguish you from the pool based on your awards and quirky activities. It should pin down to how good your essays and recs are.

I’d say 20%-40%(compared to typical acceptance of 7%) based on what I have so far, but you sound like an interesting person and I’m sure it carried in your recommendations and essays. It all depends on what the person reading your app thinks of you. Stanford is one of the more finicky schools in terms of who they’re looking for. I’d be very surprised if they rejected you, but not so much if you got wait-listed.

Agree with everything nostalgicwidom said except the part about a “fairly low” SAT. Trust me, with a 2300, you’re fine! haha.
