I am applying EARLY DESCISION to Wake Forest. I will be applying regular or early action to GA Tech, GA, and UNC-Chapel Hill in the fall. What are my chances to get in? I will chance back.

DECA Vice President
Leadership group core member

Wake: low reach (do you have more EC’s? AP classes? ED will help you alot there)
Georgia Tech:not sure
GA: not sure
UNC: I don’t think so, mostly because it’s extremely competetive out of state
Best of Luck!

Your being from MN is helpful, but if I were you , I’d retake the ACT and/or SAT for all of those schools. UNC is the toughest (unlikely) with the stats you report, but GA and Tech are getting quite competitive too. You probably need around a 1350 Cr. Reading and Math to be competitive for GA and Tech (at least thats true for instate student)

thanks guys! i will look for your threads and chance back.

I am probably just going to submit my ACT. I will retake it again, but I am not sure if it will be in time for early decision at Wake. I have a taken two AP core classes out of three AP core classes possible and I have been in the enriched/honors/ap classes track since ninth grade. i do have more EC, I just did not write them down (i have done and will do more habitat for humanity, played football and basketball, placed at DECA State Competition, run a cafe at our school, involved in church activities, and a few more lower end things). any more opinions!?

As others have said, your test scores are fairly low for the schools you’re applying to. Definitely retest and work on getting them up. If you can, I would recommend some subject tests to possibly increase your chances of acceptance. What was the trend like for your GPA?
UNC - Very high reach
Georgia Tech - Reach
Wake Forest - low reach (if you apply ED)
I don’t really know anything about the other schools, sorry.
