Hi, I recently came back from a tour at Davidson and fell in love with the college, and I don’t want to get my hopes up about going because I know it’s super selective but I’d like to know if w/ my application, it would be a good idea to ED.
General: mid-income family, Asian, Female, large public high school
Stats: SAT Superscore: 1410, ACT: 30 (retook, waiting on scores as I type), as long as math/science scores go up I can superscore English 34
GPA: Weighted- 4.1/5, Unweighted 3.6/4 but took AP weight classes this summer and got A’s in both of them, so GPA should go up. Rank: top 25% bc competitive HS but hopefully rank goes up due to summer courses
APs: World History (3), APES (3), APUSH (3), AP Language & Comp (4), senior year APs-- AP Literature, AP Stats, AP Human Geo, AP Government, AP Spanish Language
Extra Curricular: Marching band (8th-11th) section leader 11th, wind ensemble (11th-12th), local symphonic youth orchestra (10th-12th), Speech and Debate (9th-12th) event leader (11) and captain (12)–second alternate to a national tournament
Volunteering: Salvation Army of US: volunteer Christmas bell ringer since 7th grade, started a program for underprivileged youth in my area to teach them different languages and brass instruments, musical director . Both TSA are continuous. Volunteering with immigrant and refugee children and teaching them literary and math skills over the summer.
Intended course of study: Philosophy on a Pre-Law track
