For the Science National Honor Society, I started up and founded my school's chapter.

Are you kidding me? You should be applying to Harvard, Stanford, Notre Dame, Duke, etc. with those stats…as for Penn State, of course you’re in…
Also here’s a bubble chart Penn State puts out - find you GPA on one axis and SAT on the other and see where the 2 cross to see what your chances are.

http://admissions.psu.edu/info/couns...le_chart06.pdf

thanks…I am applying to UPenn, UVa and Princeton also, but some of the ppl who chanced me said I had no chance at them

Your stats look good. But I do not think your ACT score is good enough for an Ivy. Consider applying to the Schreyer Honors College at PSU. It is a great program.

oh wow. I wonder what you are in real life. You should definitely make near-top schools. Your ACT isn’t high enough for guarantees. Ivy kids have insane scores. But you could make Northwestern, UVa, Duke, Johns Hopkins, etc. Try the Ivies anyway.

I agree about Schreyer Honors College PSU - you are a FOR SURE on it!!

To ERHS_5 BEAST: I got accepted to PSU today and my stats, while good, are no where near yours!!

@thedoo…CONGRATS!!! what you looking to major in? I hope I will get accepted soon…I applied like the 4th, so its just a waiting game now. and I definitely am doing the ivy’s still…but I just wish they could see that I have all the other credentials…we shall see though.

@aStyle…what do you mean you “wonder what I am in real life” hahaha

I think your high GPA will get you accepted into penn state, despite your 28 ACT composite score. To get into Shreyer Honors College requires a separate application, 3 essays and two teacher recommendations. Admission into Shreyer doesn’t consider ACT scores, so you could have a shot at it if you are interested.

On the other hand that 28 ACT could make it difficult for you to get into some of the other schools that you mention. You should try to retake, or take the SAT, to see if you can do better.
