I am a two year captain of the varsity lacrosse team at my school, I play lead guitar in a band, and am an artist. I am bilingual in english and spanish, and will have taken 6 AP's by the time I graduate in May. My school is a private college prep school with rigorous course load. I sent in my application ED a few days ago. What do you think my chances are? Thanks!!! I will chance back.

I think you have a fair shot. Like others have said, your GPA might be an inhibiting factor, but other than that, your EC’s make you a very well-rounded student. It’s probably a low reach because of the competitiveness of other applicants.

Although you have well-rounded EC I did not see any awards or recognition from them. That could be at your disadvantage, but not too much. Good luck.

My friend got in with similar stats but a lower comperable ACT (30). I would say that you are in great shape and the only thing holding you back from admission is the intense competition. You have as good as a chance as possible though, good luck!

It’s a low reach to reach school for everyone so no surprise there. Your GPA is a little low for a school like Northwestern. I still think you’re a competitive application as long as your ECs are better explained and your essays are solid. Best of luck!
