<p>I initially had a 26 on science but raised it to a 29. My superscore on the ACT was only a 31 even though I had a 29 composite both times I took it. Honestly from my experience, it comes down to what you do on the essays. PM me and we can discuss this further, I’d love to help already having gone through this whole experience!</p>

That’s because while most schools have some sort of minimum (around 2100 probably) to have scores that are good enough to get serious consideration, higher scores have diminishing returns. 2400’s get in at a higher rate than the 2100’s but I’m pretty sure it’s not because of the scores, it’s because they also have better grades, teacher recommendations, essays and extra curricular activities. Scores are important, but no one is going to choose the 2140 over the 2130 if the other parts of the application are more attractive.</p>
