Your resume is too incomplete at this time for anyone to predict whether or not you would be competitive. You have no SAT/ACT or AP/IB test scores, so there's nothing to give us a context for your GPA.

NU is very selective and takes a relatively small percentage of those who apply, even those with top credentials. Why the rush to apply as a junior? You might be more competitive if you wait until your senior year.

There's no reason to want to be a year younger in college. Not even for a hook. And especially if you can't differ between "excepted" and "accepted" yet. I'm just saying.

wow, I didn't even notice tht I did that.... I understand what you guys are saying completely. I was just thinking it really doesn't hurt to apply (or does it?). I mean, this way I can get used to the essays and interviews if I don't get accepted. I, obviously, have extreme doubts of getting in, but all it can do is help. If what I posted please correct me for I wouldn't want applying as a junior hurt my chances if I don't get accepted and apply as a senior.

"You may apply as soon as you begin your last year of secondary school"

Taken straight from Northwestern's website...means you can't apply as a junior...

On the application form, NU asks if you have ever applied for admission before. Since they specifically ask the question, it appears that it factors into their decision somehow

pdoshi, if his last year of secondary school was his third year and he went to college right from then, wouldn't it fit the criteria of the application?

it would, but i think he wouldnt have enough courses that are recommended be taken before applying...I'm pretty sure he needs 4 years of english.....I think it would be a bad decision applying as a junior...whats the rush?

I completely agree. I was just disagreeing with the fact that he wasn't allowed to.
