Please Chance a Junior for Northwestern

<p>I was just wondering if anybody could chance me for undergraduate admission for NW</p>

<p>I go to a pretty prestigious and rigorous Catholic High School and the best grade possible is an A (no A+s)</p>

Geometry Honors- B+

Health- A
(Only two honors courses offered freshman year)</p>

<p>Sophomore (Can't take APs 'til Jr year)

<p>ACT: 33 </p>

<p>For my senior year classes I plan to take AP Macro and Micro Econ, AP EnviSci, AP Stats, maybe EuroHis AP, English IV and Religion. What do you think of these?</p>

<p>Extras: 150 hours of community service with underprivileged children
2 Summers of internships with local college summer baseball league (gameday set up and operations)
Elected to Student Council and on Student Council
Founded An Irish Sports Club which promotes Irish Sports (kind of like a club sport)
Varsity Athlete- Track- Have been contacted colleges- I'm pretty good- so this is a hook
-I know NW does not have a men's team
-Also, we have practice or a race 6 days a week for the entire winter and spring, which is why I don't have a ton of other ECs
Freshman XC Captain (Elected)
Probably going to have an internship with a British Politician in Great Britain for a month in the summer to learn how their government works and all
Founded a Ping Pong Tournament for Charity Soph year and probably will continue it this year</p>

<p>It could happen. Your in the range you need to be, it just comes down to if you stand out more than other people. Could you please calculate your gpa? (unweighted: 4= A, 3= B and divide by number of classes you have taken. It would make it a bit easier to see your stats.) Good Luck!</p>

<p>UW is around a 3.6 I believe</p>

<p>EDIT- 3.67 UW not counting health or art/music and a 3.876 W (but a 4.1 w/o Freshman year, but I know Freshman year counts)</p>

<p>In what area of the country are you from? Those are some pretty solid stats, though. I think you have a decent shot.</p>

<p>Thanks and I’m from Massachusetts. I’d love to run track in college, but the education matters much more to me.</p>
