honestly, in my OPINION, i think you will get into wharton but rejected from huntsman. your stats look pretty similar to mine except you had a better SAT I score, but i had better extra curriculars. (and i would not have gotten into huntsman, but neither did i want to be)

you are qualified dont get me wrong. i just THINK there will be better applicants. but good luck! i didnt want to be too harsh!

you'll probably get into wharton. huntsman is hard to say.

I wanted to volunteer with the relief effort so bad when I went back this summer, but my mom said it was too dangerous ;~;

lol. i see asian female and immediately thought 4.0 and piano... i was close ;). I'm class of 09 but i do have 2 cousins who go to wharton and another 3 who got rejected and go to NYU stern and Umich Ross( losers lol jk jk). Your app is pretty standard compared to the competitive pool at Wharton. The relief effort thing shows that you went out of your way to help people. thats always good. but Wharton as the number 1 B-school in the US always looks for "talent and skills" according to my cousins. Your lack of awards doesn't exactly show your talent or skills... idk maybe you didn't put them on here. Wharton also looks for leadership positions and strong math skills. I don't see any leadership positions but I'm sure your math skills are pretty strong =] lol wink wink. I guess all this crap i'm writing comes down to one thing.. Its a crapshoot... go with the flow and see where the wind takes you... O_o good luck!

well, my "full list" of awards include a lot of piano competitions and track/xc medals, but are the state and international awards not enough?

my "leadership" positions are xc captain and co-president [and in previous years, lower officer positions] of that one club.

running [track & xc] is my life so i guess i don't show too much "math strength" outside of my academics and i'm not really involved in anything business-oriented at my school. we have them but they don't do too well and running has really been my main thing. i actually do worry that because my resume has very little business related stuff, my "interest" won't show. i guess i've really just tried to take the most rigorous academic classes [9 AP classes total] and focus on three seasons of running. too bad i can't get recruited lol :[ nyu did send me a recruitment letter though haha.. but i'm not fast enough for the ivies and DIV I schools.

Gotcha, well Wharton and other top B-schools don't really care about "interest" in Business. They care about "interest" in their school. Okay maybe Wharton is exempt from that, but mostly the top B-schools don't care about your FBLA, DECA or BPA crap unless u got national awards. However a science national award would be just fine, maybe even better. Wharton wants strong math skills as they are pretty quant oriented. Whartonites can argue with me on that.... =] Wharton's a reach for everyone, apply if you really want to, don't waste your money if your not interested.

Ehh to answer your post.
national and international awards are enough, they dont' want to sift through regional awards believe me. your leadership positions are good and your dedication to running is admirable. My cousins do say however that Wharton does want you to dedicate your self to a couple clubs. That means 2 or 3. Not just 1. Food for thought. It might be too late though...

i had only regional awards and i got in=]
