<p>GPA: 3.20 weighted</p>
<p>SAT I: M 800, R 750, W 750, Essay 11.</p>
<p>SAT II: Bio 770, Math II 800, Physics 780</p>
<p>ACT: 34 (essay 7)</p>
<p>AP: European History 4, Calculus BC 5, APUSH 4 and Latin 3.</p>
<p>Senior schedule: English, History, Religion, Multivariable Calculus, AP Physics II and AP Economics.</p>
<p>EC's:
Regional & All-state orchestra violin since 6th grade
Youth Symphony (very competitive one) since 4th grade
JV Baseball since 9th grade but did not make it this year due to injury
Science Center tour guide for more than 100 hours
Formed a chamber music group for charity
Robotic Club - the one I spent a lot of time on it. Love it!
Other clubs like BBQ, Latin, Japanese, Wall Street.....</p>
<p>I took honor pre-cal during sophomore and got a C+ but my teacher still recommended me for AP Cal BC at junior year. End up got A- and 5 for AP.</p>
<p>I'm thinking about Engineering (Electrical) Honor Program.
Do I have a chance?</p>

<p>but your SATs are phenomenal, your ACT and SAT2s are as well; your ECs are commendable; the only real problem I can possibly see is the GPA which is outrageously low given your other scores…</p>
<p>assuming that the 3.2 is weighted on a 4 scale, that’s more or less a B- average-ish; not taking into account that it’s most likely lower unweighted…</p>
<p>Though with your other scores, I’m starting to think your GPA is on a 3 scale for some reason… and if so; you’re set.</p>

GPA is on a 4 scale. I made lots of mistakes during my sophomore year…
My school doesn’t give extra for honor or AP.</p>
<p>Well, if your grades for the other three years are higher; it’ll look more favorable than if they were generally lower for the three years.</p>
<p>Also, that’s your unweighted GPA then; the weighted one is when they add points for honors and so on. </p>
<p>I’m no expert on this stuff, but if you work hard and get your GPA up a little, you’d look pretty safe given your outrageously good SAT scores. I don’t know how much that can carry you, so I’d really focus on the GPA. You’re set for the Engineering program, idk about honors and their standards though.</p>
<p>I’m sure someone here is either an incoming freshman or a student there, though and can say if you’re borderline or safe.</p>
<p>i had a 1910 on my SAT1, no SAT 2’s and nothing spectacular as far as EC’s went (some community service and what not… I am way more into the surfing/snowboarding/skating deal = no varsity letters) and ended up with like a 3.7 out of 4.0, unweighted and was accepted into the engineering program, but i wouldnt have been into the honors program.</p>
<p>I think u have a pretty high chance of getting into the engineering program i have several friends who are currently in the program and i dont think their SATs were as good as urs. The minimum GPA requirement for the program is around a 2.5 so i think ur chances are pretty good.</p>
