Chance for George Washington University

Hi, I'm currently a sophomore in high school (in CA), but I am really interested in attending GW as a Biology or Biological Anthropology major.
For ninth grade, I went to a different school than the one I currently attend and these were my extracurriculars there:
- concert and marching band
-speech and debate
-science olympiad
-book buddy (teaching young children to read) at a local university
-4.0 GPA both semesters, ranked number 2 out of 739 students
-honor roll
-approximately 40 hours of volunteer work
-Varsity Tennis
-CSF

For sophomore year, I moved schools (my new school is part of the Middle College Program, so upon graduation, I will have about 90 college units completed.):

-attends a highly competitive high school
- double enrolled in high school and college courses
- member of People to People club
-member of Key Club
-MVP Student Award
-Lacrosse
-honor roll (both high school and college)
-3.95 GPA, ranked in the top 25% in a class of 58 students
- 20 hours of volunteer work
- national honor society
- as stated above, will have around 90 transferable college units upon graduating
I also got accepted to participate in a collegiate summer program this summer.

I've taken the ACT once and I scored a 27 (with no studying) and plan on getting a 30-32 the next time I take it.

Thank you!

Get your ACT up, keep up the hard work in school, take some APs maybe and I think you will be a good candidate for GW. Of course, you never can say for sure, but I think if you keep up what you’ve been doing and get your ACT up a few points you will be a candidate:)

Thank you so much! Unfortunately, my high school doesn’t offer AP’s since we have to take at least one college course a semester… do you think that could negatively impact my chances?
