For Georgetown, both my parents went to Grad school there, does that factor in at all?
I guess my main question comes down to being will my math scores and weak ec's drag me down? Speak honestly and fairly.
Please understand that I may or may not apply to these schools.
Thanks for your time.

i’d say you have a good chance at georgetown, you have good grades, and since your parents went there, you are a legacy… even though it’s a tough school to get into…

davidson, a match, but columbia might be a low reach. i dont know much about the other schools.

AP chem is brutal, i started the year with it, but our teacher was insanely hard… so i dropped to physics. If you’re good at chem, by all means go for it. but it’s definitely a challenging course. then again so is art history ( alot of dates to memorize) so it’s up to you

2200 is a great score for SAT. don’t be concerned about that!

this is about all i know so far, but i might reply more as i learn more about schools and such

EC’s not great, but not bad. at least you participated in alot of things with the clubs… hmm, just keep at it though

Thanks. I wasn’t amazing at chem, but not bad. I’m good at history though, so we’ll see…

Georgetown-High Match
Columbia-Reach

Good Luck!

In everywhere except Georgetown and Columbia.
Legacy at Georgetown will work in your favor and even more if your parents are active alumni. Your ECs are unique and if you can pull off your predicted AP and SAT scores, I would say you have a great shot.
Columbia is a reach for everyone, but you are definitely qualified.

Good luck!

Georgetown is just one of those schools that absolutely loves legacies. With your current stats and if you have some kind of hook, I’d probably give you a 50-55% chance, being optimistic.

I’m applying there too Planning to go for the Walsh School of Foregin Service with backgrounds in Chinese, English, Spanish, and Latin.

By the way, AP Latin Vergil!?! That is… that’s remarkable, that class is brutal. Dude! You have to know like every single book of the aeniad, how do you manage to score a 4 on the AP exam? You’re a beast =D

Jayster, I’ve was thinking about the Walsh School too. It looks ideal for me, if I could get in.

I actually have not taken the AP Latin exam yet, but I’ll most likely at least get a 4 or a 5. I’ve gotten A’s all year, but it’ll will be a ton of work. And its only about 1850 lines or so, its not EVERY part of the Aeneid. But yeah, it will be a brutal exam. Probably harder than Bio in my opinion.

Thanks. Good luck to you.

Also, thanks golfer, I was especially worried about my ec’s. Good luck to you as well.
