bump........

Dude, stueydue...don't hijack someone else's chances thread with your information...start one of your own if you want to.

@Sidfromaus: what do you mean by non-academic ECs? As in not math/science/english/history stuff? Community service maybe? Because I don't think not having "non-academic" things is a detriment.

@merlin56: I agree with the previous posters with regards to your ECs. They are good, don't get me wrong, but nothing really stands out. And I wouldn't count on Siemens or Intel too much, only because judging for those competitions seem to be quite erratic. You'll need more SAT2s, and hopefully you do well in them. Also, I don't know your race, but if its ORM, that will be problematic in admissions. Otherwise, keep up the good work. At this point, you can't really do much other than ensure your remaining test scores are good and hope for the best in the national competitions this fall. You probably have above average chances for your schools...this depends on race/ethnicity though.

sorry about that im new here i didnt know i wasnt supposed to that

chancing someone at schools like harvard and stanford is unfair. no one really has a "good" chance at those schools. getting in there is just luck. but, you sound like you should be good for hopkins, and fair to just below good for duke.
