Chances of Duke or Johns Hopkins? (My Academics are Included)

<p>Hey, I'm currently a sophomore in high school and plan on going to med school one day. Although the job is very demanding, I hope to become a surgeon. Before I do this though, I want to go to a really good college like Duke or Johns Hopkins. I keep up with my grades but have no idea about my chances when it comes to colleges. Here are my grades, GPA/rank, extracurricular activities, etc...Please give me good advice.</p>

<p>8th Grade
-English 1 GT: 98
-Spanish 1 CP: 100
-Algebra 1 GT: 100</p>

<p>9th Grade
-Geometry Honors: 100
-English 2 Honors: 98
-Physical Education: 98
-Computer Applications: 100
-Art 1: 99
-World Geography GT: 100
-Physical Science Honors: 100
-Introduction to Engineering Design Honors: 98
-Spanish 2 CP: 100
-Personal Health CP: 100</p>

<p>Even though I'm not through yet, here are pretty much my sophomore grades:
-English 3 Honors: 100
-Spanish 3 Honors: 100
-AP Human Geography: 99
-Chemistry 1 Honors: 100
-Principles of Engineering Honors: 100
-Algebra 2 Honors: 100
-Biology 1 Honors: 100

<p>I just got accepted into the Governor's School and will be going there my junior and senior years. Their school does not rank their students. Here are the classes I will be taking there:</p>

<p>As for test scores...
-I took PLAN which is like the "pre-ACT" and scored in the 99th percentile for math.
-I haven't taken the SAT or ACT yet but plan to.
-I am about to take the AP Human Geography exam and am very sure that I will get a 5.
-I just took the Spanish SAT and feel like I scored in the 700 range.</p>

<p>As for extracurricular activities...
-I am volunteering at a hospital this summer and the summer after my junior year.
-I was in the robotics club this year.
-I run cross country and lettered this year as a sophomore.
-I will be in the National Honor Society next year.
-I was on the quiz team this year.
-I was in the Interact Club and completed all my service requirements.
-I'm going to be on the math team next year.
-I will do HOSA next year.
-I volunteered at my church in 9th grade as a small group leader.</p>

<p>As for other information...
-I'm a Hispanic haha. I am not fluent in Spanish, but pick up on a lot of things.</p>

<p>So hopefully, someone out there actually took the chance to read this. Can someone please give me an honest opinion about my chances of getting into either university?</p>

<p>you’re going to get in man are you kidding?! plus you’re hispanic so that’s a huge bonus. my hispanic friend has similar stats and got into HARVARD. </p>

<p>My academics wasn’t as good as your’s but I got into both of those schools.
I think if you do well on the SAT, which I assume you will, you should get into Duke and Johns Hopkins.</p>
