Chance For RD Please?

I’m currently a high school senior with a 3.4 GPA unweighted with all honors and APs throughout my high school career except for geometry, algebra 2, precalculus, and now calculus. I expect my GPA to get a boost in the 1st semester of my senior year after starting off strong with all A’s and one B. My essay is pretty solid but my SAT scores aren’t really that great to be honest. Extracurriculars are pretty solid though with working 15 hours a week and being a class representative my junior year along with sports. I also have brothers who graduated in the class of 14’ and 12’ if that carries any weight. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sat Scores

690 Reading
580 Math (Lower than expected)
550 Writing

Yeah, your GPA and test scores aren’t the greatest, but don’t let that stop you from trying. If I were you, I’d focus on writing an excellent essay. I think what stands-out most with you is working 15 hours a week and having siblings that graduated GW. Try to use those two as your strengths in your essay.

As far as your chances, I can’t really say, However, if I were you and really wanted to go to GW, I’d write about why working hard while still having extracurriculars makes me an asset to GW. Also why having two sibling mentors will work in my favor and how I wish to follow in their footsteps.

Keep us all posted, and good luck!
