okay,so I am an international student from Nepal.Applying internationally is hard timeline-wise and though I did try unsuccessfully for the fall of 2017, I couldn’t attend because I didn’t get enough scholarship for my family to afford. So, I took a gap year hoping to improve my chances for a full ride(yup, not enough meant I had to pay 10k a year but it was too expensive because of our poor currency). so i did some more work for my major Environmental science. and applied for a paid research internship at an INGO and I got it and also got the chance to be a co-author on a research paper that is now published in a peer-reviewed journal. i really wanna know if this will help me in the top schools or will it boost my scholarship application in realistic and safety schools? I mean, it will but to what extend? my SAT composite is 1430 and TOEFL is 113.my percentage is 87 which is around 3.7or 8?? To what extend will it boost my application? this is a long rant but I really need something to grip on.
