My GPA is a 4.288 weighted

I have self studied AP Calculus AB and passed the AP test and I have progressed from geometry to AP Calculus BC in three years

I have a 2190 SAT score and 790 SAT Physics, 800 SAT Math II, and 700 SAT Chemistry.

I will have taken 7 AP Courses by the time I graduate and 9 AP Tests

I will played 3 years of JV and 1 year of Varsity Tennis by the time I graduate.

I have participated in clubs such as Robotics, Interact (charity club), and JSA

I have a lot of Volunteer hours from various places; one of them being Red Cross

I will be getting good recommendations from my Honors Global Studies teacher, my AP Calculus BC teacher, and my Counselor.

At UIUC I plan to major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
At Berkeley I plan to major in the EECS program (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science)

Do I have a chance to get in to these schools?

What is your CR + M SAT score? I think you will get into UIUC but since they don’t look at writing I’d have to know individual scores to give you a true chance (safety/match/reach). Also, for Berkeley, what is you UC GPA? You can calculate your UC GPA here <a href=“University of California Counselors”>University of California Counselors;

To get into UIUC for engineering, your passion has to show through your application. You do Robotics which does help, but try to emphasize engineering as much as you can in your extracurriculars. I also hope that you didn’t leave out your unweighted GPA on purpose, because these colleges will take that into consideration. Calculate your UC GPA by omitting freshman year for Berkeley. Just keep working hard and you have a great shot at both of those schools!

PMoney1: My CR+M is a 1390

Your CR+M is in the middle 50% for UIUC and you have a strong weighted GPA. I think that UIUC is a Match/High Match only due to a very competitive engineering school.

CR+M 1390 is within the mid 50 for UIUC engineering, but very close to the 25% of 1360. If you are oos, it would be a low reach for you. Try to bring it up to the 75% (1480) for a better chance. Also, what is your uwGPA and class rank? You may want to read the link below for better idea on the competitiveness of the school.
<a href=“Undergraduate Admissions | The Grainger College of Engineering | UIUC”>http://engineering.illinois.edu/admissions/undergraduate/

Both schools offer little aid to oos students and are very expensive (more so for Berkeley). You may want to check their NPC first.

There are many site for that, but they are all for reference purpose only. There is no place to enter EC, URM, etc in those sites that most will look at them on this forum by qualified chancers.

Bro, how’d your username change from tennis17 to richkram14
