<p>Male, Asian American. </p>

<p>Sat I : 640 Critical Reading, 660 Math, 680 Writing (Total: 1980)</p>

<p>SAT II: 720 Chemistry , Math 2c: 610 (Just retook definetely higher)</p>

<p>AP Scores: 5 on Ap Chem, 4 on Ap Lang</p>

<p>GPA (all nonweighted):</p>

<p>Academic GPA (9-12): 3.72222</p>

<p>Academic GPA (10-12): 3.83333</p>

<p>Total GPA (9-12): 3.7561</p>

<p>I didn't really get good grades at all freshman year, first semester.
I got all A's all through sophmore year with english honors, adv alg, spanish honors, regular chem, and world history honors</p>

<p>For junior year I took ap lang, math anal, spanish honors, ap chem, and us history honors.
All of these classes get extra points except Math Analysis.</p>

<p>Extracuriculars:
3 years of cross country
2 years of track
NO CLUBS
45-50 hours of community service</p>

<p>Letter of recomendations: Should be average
Application essay: Should be average or above</p>

<p>U of Southern California or U of South Carolina?</p>

<p>I’d say you would need a strong essay for S. Cal. You’re extracurriculars are a bit lacking. Any work experience of anything else (aside from academics) that would put you outside of the rest of your class? Not really sure. I’d say you could possibly get in to either, but you would need a very strong essay.</p>

<p>NO work experience =(. Although I did volunteer at this place for disabled children for about 30 hours.</p>

<p>The SAT seems low for USC, so I would say reach. But, if you can pull it up you might have a chance!</p>

<p>GPA is fine and courses seem difficult enough, but I completely agree with zfrye47 -> the SAT is holding you back. ECs seem a little lackluster, but it’s hard to find time for clubs when you’ve got 3 seasons of sports, and I’m sure colleges will understand that.</p>
