<p>Hey people! I was hoping some of you could tell me my chances of getting into USC. Its been my dream school for a while now, and I work there (paid) as a Camera Operator and Broadcast Technician for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, etc. for the video boards at the games. I don't know if that will help my chances at all, but here's some of my info:</p>
<p>-I have a pretty low GPA (3.31 W),
-A high number of AP courses,
-An SAT Composite of 1910 (620, 670, 620),
-Over 640 volunteer hours since June (with a some good awards and recognition to go along with that),
-A high amount of work experience (working at USC for 2 years, and interned at Signal Snowboards as a video editor before that.)
-2 Years Spanish, 3 Years Hebrew Language,</p>
<p>For some personal info:
-No family relations to USC,
-Definitely higher household income
-Applying to Annenberg for Broadcast and Digital Communications, and Dornsife for International Relations (Global Business),
-Born and raised in California (private school, so I don't know if that matters much.
-My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer just before my freshman year, and I know my grades slipped because of the higher responsibilities at home and less time for school, and the stress, etc.</p>
<p>I know my GPA is low, but I'm hoping that my ECs and other factors will make up for it. Also, I'm not sure that it will matter, but the organizations I volunteered for are:
- Foundation for Children and Youth with Diabetes, Camp Counselor and Lifeguard;
- Good Deeds from Good Kids: non-profit sports organization, Coach and Volunteer Coordinator;
- An Orphanage in Bulgaria (yes, very random indeed.);
- A Young Philanthropy program;
- Orange County Food Bank.</p>
