<p>First, are you a Georgia resident? Also, what majors are you considering? It is my understanding ( living in Atlanta and talking with S/D's college counselor and others that GaTech is making a strong push to recruit excellent students in the liberal arts programs they have developed. I am also told there is an emphasis is recruiting women into the liberal arts programs. Is a 3.53 yiour UW GPA- how many AP's and honors courses does that include? Those "rigor" elements are important at Tech and other selective school. The admissions section of the website for Tech has the school's common data set, which should give you a clearer idea. I would say the ACT is within range- SAT needs to go up- especially for engineering, math and sciences. Good luck- Tech is a fabulous school with a great history in a terrific city!</p>
