Medicine is the only field she is passionate about and could even think off…and creative arts is the only field is good at (major stress buster for her)
No sports at all :frowning:

Hi whitecane,
I would say that she definitely has a chance for UMKC. Her obvious dedication to medicine is clear through the extracurriculars, and doing 15 AP courses shows rigor and commitment. The addition of research is definitely a plus, and if she can publish it at a conference and/or enter it into a national/international research competition and/or get into RSI, then I would say she would get in 99%. Also, she needs to get good SAT/ACT and SAT II scores.

@Orangecounty2 Thank you for your response.Yeah she can try RSI but might be a hit or a miss. She took SAT in November 2017(1st time) and scored 1530,740reading,790math reading score was less than expected so she is planning to take in December 2017 again.Hoping to improve her reading score. She will be taking Math2 and Chemistry subject tests in Summer of 2018.What score range does the colleges would like to see on these subject tests?.According to college board 2017 percentiles,1530 falls under 99+ not sure if colleges look for percentiles or exact numbers. She is expecting 35 or 36 in ACT hopefully  Does not having any sport as EC hurt her application by any means?Does UMKC or Howard ( 6yr again) super scores SAT?Or Does any of the direct med programs offering colleges/universities super scores SAT?Waiting on PSAT result as it might boost her application if she can make upto semifinalist/finalist.Sorry too many questions…she is the first kid in the family going to college,no relatives/friends who could guide her.Thank you for your time.

Sorry for late response. I would say that anywhere between 740-800 would be good SAT II score. Her SAT scores are great, but it would obviously be helpful to have a perfect (just my thoughts). No, not having a sport definitely doesn’t hurt unless she’s passionate about it (which I infer she isn’t). For example, I got into Harvard REA without any sports and just with a spike in research and national Olympiad success. I’m not sure if those colleges superstore the SAT. I think she’ll be fine. Please feel free to ask any more questions, I would be happy to help as much as I can! Good luck to her!
