georgetown- high match

good luck :)

As a Hispanic candidate, your SAT score puts you in the top few percent. How are your SAT IIs? Your gpa and rank are not great, but the fact that you attend a competitive HS may help. Your work record looks great. See this thread on the Hispanic Students subforum for some results from last year:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/hispanic-students/679897-college-class-2013-results.html

entomom, the competitive high school thing is what I’m hoping for. It’s a fairly well-known school so I’m crossing my fingers that they take into consideration top 10% at my school is 12 kids, not 50 like at many schools.
SAT IIs, so far, Lit: 740, Math II: 660
but I’m retaking Math II in December, as well as taking Spanish and French, which I should do fairly well in as I am fluent in both.
Thanks for the link to the forum, definitely informative.

So what do you think? I interview well and I know that I nailed my essays, as well as got excellent recs from former tenured University professors, both of whom have doctorates.
The hook is obviously the URM, but I feel like I’m pretty strong in extra curriculars.

Thanks so much!
