I know my grades are my weakest point, and I plan to work hard junior year to bring those up.

I'm looking at Dartmouth, Georgetown, Holy Cross, Wake, American, Colgate, Cornell, Syracuse, UNC Chapel Hill, Assumption. I know Dartmouth & Georgetown are def. the reaches in that group.

Any advice/observations/etc. is appreciated!

I'm also fluent in Spanish. I can read & understand Portuguese & French, and converse a little in both. I'm learning ASL, too.

Your ECs are great. Especially your committment to volunteering.

But your rank and your ACT score are going to really affect your chances at Dartmouth and Georgetown. The good news, is that you know that.

You're also maybe going to run into trouble at Colgate, Cornell, and UNC-Chapel Hill. Colgate because it's LITTLE and is one of a group of schools that takes so-called Ivy rejects. Cornell, because it's an Ivy, and even if it's not considered quite as prestigious as the others, it's still competitive. And UNC Chapel Hill because the out of state acceptance rate is a lot lower, and it's a state school so your GPA, scores, and rank are much more important to the admission committee.

Dartmouth- reach but attainable
Georgetown- reach but attainable
American- high match
Colgate- low reach
Cornell- low reach
Syracuse- high match
UNC Chapel Hill- mid-high match

Just get that ACT score a little higher and you should be all set!

Chance me please. I'll give you an imaginary cookie. ^_^
