well... Im a junior from wohs. I am trying very hard this year to attend rutgers new brunswick and maybe either go into a field of phycology(please excuse my spelling), business, or pre med(not pharmacy). At the moment my gpa is a 3.6 with a terrible freshman year(3.2) but a good gpa sophomore year(4.0). This year I plan to get a 4.1 and have an overall gpa of 3.7 something I did take honors and APs throughout highschool. The only problem is that they revolved around language, and history.... I played jv tennis freshman year then varsity sophomore year. I currently have a job. So basically I need a chance of whether or not I can even get into those schools. Also what kind of SAT is required for those schools? Thanks to anyone who can offer advice =]
ps. The average gpa from my highschool going to Rutgers Nb is 3.9

also I happen to be instate

any SATs or ACTs or tests that you have taken?

well I took a psat this year and it was a 1600/2400 =[. But it wasnt the most serious thing at the time and I plan to raise that with my SAT. any score I should reach for?

1800+ would be nice

would that put me into any of the subjects that Im interested in?

anything someone can add? can a 1900 + get me into pre med?

I think if you can get a 1900+ you stand a good chance. Bust your butt junior year and ace the SATs

from wohs?
As in Woodside High School?

Could be West Orange High School.

… That’s always a possibility.
But being from the area, Woodside was the first to come to mind…

west orange high school… lol. idk if it makes a difference. but currently im wondering if i should even bother going for a pre med acceptance. I wasnt really a science person I was better at history and english, and language… but I feel the pre med program would be best and maybe getting a 1900 would help?

Oh, that’s lame
Anyways, don’t sweat it.
I got in super fast. SAT- 1830 (my ACT was much higher in comparison but I didn’t even take it until after I applied) GPA- 3.68 w (at the time)
I think if you just keep going on the track you’re on with a positive grade trend and making the most of the classes offered to you, you shouldn’t have a problem…
