Chance International student

<p>Im actually a US citizen who has been living in Kazakhstan for the past 8 years.
I attend an International school and most of my essays are about the diversity that I experienced there.</p>

Good Teacher Recommendations from Math and Bio teachers
Poor Counselor recommendation but mentioned all my ECs. He wrote that I was too aggressive under the "first words come to mind" section.</p>

<p>I think my essays were strong, I mentioned my passion for medicine and engineering.</p>

<p>I'd have to say very high reaches to Cornell, Brown, Berkeley, JHU, MIT, and reach to Lehigh as you're international.</p>

<p>Oh I sincerely apologize. I would still have to call those schools significant reaches because of your test scores though.</p>

<p>No i am not applying for financial aid, but i think that Cornell is need-blind anyways. Either way I havent filled out any aid forms (FAFSA etc). I know that the top level schools are reachs but waht about UMich, URoch or UWash? I am very interested in University of Rochester and Washington. Thanks for the quick replies!</p>

<p>oh, and I am worried about my counselor recommendation. my teacher recs are good but will a poor counselor recommendation play a big role?</p>
