CHANCE McGill, Boston College, College of William and Mary, UBC, Brandeis

ACT 29

GPA 3.85

Weighted 4.37

Rank 23/420

IB Diploma Candidate

TONS OF EC (National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Mu alpha theta, Beta Club, Tri M Music Honor, Marching Band, Honor band, Varsity Soccer, Club Soccer Captain)

You definitely have a chance in all of those schools. I would say they would all be matches but you need to get higher ACT for better chances. Maybe try SAT?

I think a 29 is low for all of these (don’t know anything about UBC) especially BC and Brandeis. I think you should try the SAT as the previous poster recommended.

What is your intended major? For McGill at least that makes a big difference in the grades and scores required.

William and Mary: High match
Brandeis: High match
Boston College: High match

McGill Arts

McGill Arts is one of the easiest faculties at the school to get into and has lower admission standards then say life sciences.

The posted admission standards for arts are:

B/B+ average in grades 10,
11 and 12; B/B+ in each
English; each SAT I and II
620 (SATI Math 600) or ACT 28

The stats you posted exceed the standards here so I believe that you should get in just fine, since admissions is purely stats driven.

McGill Arts= safety/low reach
