@ThomasBr I am pretty sure they interview anyone who is going to be admitted or they are on the fence about, ultimately, if the student looks REALLY good on paper, but is unable to carry a conversation I am pretty sure that is something they would want to know about. I’m pretty sure they just don’t want to spend time interviewing people they know they will reject.
FWIW: I’d admit someone shy, who feels awkward making conversation with strangers, over an arrogant, overly boastful jerk 
@CaliMex I agree 100% percent that probably would have been a better example…but either way IF at this point they have not called you for an interview I would say that the OP’s chances are VERY limited.
