Great stats. While Harvard is definitely a crapshoot for anyone. You are on the higher end of that crap shoot. While you don’t want to advertise the word communist. You can put some communist views in your essay. That would give you another one to 2% chance of getting in
Ever since it became widely known that Elizabeth Warren was admitted to Harvard Law School claiming Native American heritage, colleges now require students claiming Native American heritage for a tribal registration number. Do you have one? https://www.collegeconfidential.com/dean/000293/
Well, you’re obviously here to show off but your chances seem to be on the higher end of the spectrum. That said, everyone applying has perfect/near-perfect scores so those are meaningless. I go to a competitive public school and we had 53 apply to Harvard last year, only the Olympic gymnast who had won ISEF got in. Take that as you will, with luck you’ll get in and if not that’s life.
While this may be fake, the commentary on this post might help future applicants - if you are a Native American sophomore or junior reading this, aiming to get scores anywhere close to this range and ECAs near this level would probably give you pretty good odds of being accepted (assuming a decent essay and such).
Well hello comrade. I too identify myself as a Marxist-Leninist, but I decided to go forward and integrate my passions in philosophy (particularly Marxism) on my application
I like your background. So long as you’re not a far right Communist. Communism is a dying ideology. It doesn’t really work in practice. People are driven by incentives. And all Communist leaders proved to be dictators and have very poor legacy. Even China no longer practices true Communism. Chinese are capitalist in heart. Very commercial people, even throughout their long history. Communism only helps their party and to keep their nation under the party’s close control. If you insist to be a Communist, then perhaps, switch to Socialism which carry some of the better Utopian ideas and in practice implement better. Good luck, you have a very good chance so long as you did not come across as a dangerous teen with dangerous thoughts to run for office one day.
