I was wondering if anyone was able to chance me for these schools: NYU, BU, Univerity of Michigan, USC, and Dartmouth. For each of them, I am planning to major in Business/Hospitality or arts and sciences.
International Student
SAT: 2100 (710 R, 740 W, 650 M)
UW GPA: 3.8
AP Courses: Statistics, Macroeconomics, Human Geography (5) and English Language
Extracurriculars: Debate, Skiing, water polo and rowing, volunteering, working at a hotel for two years, band, choir, leadership roles at school, model UN and Cornell hospitality summer program (for credit).

I think BU will most likely accept you. However, NYU Stern is very competitive, and I feel that your ECs are a bit lacking (no notable EC as far as I can tell). The same goes for USC Marshall. I don’t have enough information to give you my two cents on University of Michigan and Dartmouth so sorry about that. At this point, I would recommend taking the SAT again to get your score a bit higher. Your score is not bad by any means but 2100 is very average for NYU and USC, and any numerical stat that could be raised will only help your application. You’re a first gen student, so that will definitely help your case. Best of luck!
