Chance me after being deferred? New academic information send to Pitt

Hi everyone, I know these "chance me" posts are annoying but if you could give me some feedback based off of other's decisions that would be great. I applied for Electrical Engineering.

I initially applied through the Pitt Prestige Application with the following stats:
Weighted GPA- Freshman-Junior: 3.86/5 (my school's gpa calculations are very different from others)
ACT: 29 Superscore (27 M, 27 S, 32 R, 30 W)
I was asked for Mid year grades. So i also submitted an essay (discussed being a female in engineering courses), and three letters of recommendation. I also took the ACT again.
My stats for my first semester of senior year:
Weighted GPA: 4.2/5
ACT: 30 Superscore (28 M, 27 S, 34 R, 32 W)

I am a white female from a fairly competitive public high school in NJ. My school doesn't rank but i am thinking I'd probably fall in the top 20% of my class.

I'm hoping my improvement will be enough to get accepted, but what does everyone think?

Looks like you should have a decent shot but (as was discussed in another thread) you could always start out in Arts and Sciences and then transfer into Engineering - it’s a pretty easy process as long as you have decent grades at Pitt.

Hi, just got my decision. I had the option to be wait listed for the school of engineering or automatically accepted into the school of Arts and Sciences. I chose to enter into Arts and Sciences, because the classes I have to take and pass to transfer are the same classes I would have to take in engineering anyways. So no point in chancing it with a wait list!

Congrats - my son chose to go into A&S since he didn’t want to start right out in Engineering but also plans to transfer in later on.
